INDUSTRIAL BASE PROJECT
As Komatsu's world's largest manufacturing base for complete machines and spare parts, this project boasts a total investment of 10.6 billion yuan, covering industrial sectors including assembly, transmission, hydraulics, chassis and sheet metal. Construction started at the end of 2023 to build world-leading production lines for full-series excavators and heavy-duty trucks of all sizes. It introduces 100-ton class transmission heavy-duty trucks to China for the first time. It is expected that the welding, assembly and chassis workshops, comprehensive buildings and supporting facilities will be completed and put into operation in the first half of 2025. All facilities including engine workshops, heavy-duty truck workshops, import & export warehouses and supporting zones will be fully completed by the end of 2025. Upon full operation, the project will achieve an annual output value of 35 billion yuan and annual tax revenue of 2.5 billion yuan.
Kaiweid has built a super manufacturing hub covering core sectors such as assembly, hydraulics, chassis, sheet metal and heavy-duty trucks.
Built to fully benchmark the flagship factory in Osaka, Japan, the excavator assembly line complies with the latest global standards and integrates intelligent, automated and eco-friendly concepts. BIM technology is adopted to realize collision-free construction throughout the project.
As the world's largest production base for complete equipment and components, it will serve as the core driving force and strategic cornerstone for Komatsu to lead the global construction machinery industry.
